磁悬浮鼓风机是离心式鼓风机家族中的一员,利用每分钟数万转的高速旋转的叶片赋予被输送气体动能,并在出口处转化为压力能。与螺杆鼓风机比较,它无法摆脱离心风机的一个通病,就是喘振,也可以理解为它必定存在一个工作不稳定的低效率区域,因此选择离心风机就需要避开对应的工况区域。与此同时工况压力的变化,对磁悬浮鼓风机或者说对离心风机来说,会使出口风量会产生明显的变化。明确点说就是会磁悬浮鼓风机的流量会随着出口阻力的增大而明显减少。
